Winter Ultimate Leagues with WODS – 2027

WODS is excited to have multiple indoor leagues running in Cambridge and Kitchener this winter. Whether you’re looking for competitive play, a welcoming way to meet new people, or a chance to get back on the field, there’s an option for you!

🥏 Winter Friday 4s @ Com Dev (full)
Everyone’s favourite winter league is back! Friday 4s offers tight, fast-paced indoor competition in a compact format. With only eight players needed to roster a team, it’s easy to get your crew together and hit the field for a full winter of high-energy ultimate.

Season: January 8 – April 23, 2027 (15 weeks, excluding Good Friday, March 26) with 55-minute games starting at 9, 9:30, 10, or 10:30 pm. Week 1 games will start one hour earlier.

Format: 4v4, with a 2:2 gender ratio

Location: Com Dev Dome, Cambridge, ON

Cost: $920 per team. Maximum: 12 teams.

🥏 Tuesday Mixed 6s @ Cowan

This is a return of an old WODS favourite, moving from the fall to the winter season. Players register individually and will be assigned to one of four equally-skilled teams. During registration, players may request to be placed on the same team as one or two other players.

The goal of this league is to create a welcoming environment, make new connections in the community, and establish a new home for WODS ultimate on Tuesday nights this winter. Teams may be reshuffled during the season to encourage variety, balance, and new connections.

Season: January 5 – April 27, 2027 (17 weeks) with 55-minute games starting at 7:30 pm.

Format: 6v6 speedpoint. Gender ratio: 4 OMP : 2 FMP, or 3:3 depending on registration numbers.

Location: Cowan Recreational Centre FieldHouse, Kitchener, ON

Cost: $150 per player

🥏 Tuesday Womens 6s @ Cowan

Woman-matching players register individually and play pickup-style games based on attendance each night. A league coordinator will help assign teams and reshuffle teams halfway through the evening to keep things fresh. With no established teams, this league will offer competitive games, strong spirit, and opportunities to meet new players in the community.

This league is intended for players looking for an intermediate or competitive environment. Newer players may find the Tuesday Mixed 6s league to be a better fit.

Season: January 5 – April 27, 2027 (17 weeks) with 85-minute sessions starting at 8:30 pm.

Format: 6v6 speedpoint, woman-matching play

Location: Cowan Recreational Centre FieldHouse, Kitchener, ON

Cost: $210 per player

Open-matching players register individually and play pickup-style games based on attendance each night. A league coordinator will help assign teams and reshuffle teams halfway through the evening to keep things fresh.

With no established teams, this league will offer competitive games, strong spirit, and opportunities to meet new players in the community.

This league is intended for players looking for a competitive environment. Newer players may find the Tuesday Mixed 6s league to be a better fit.

Fee Assistance

Fee assistance is available for players who would like to participate in WODS’ league programs but who may not have the financial means to do so. Please contact Jon, our president, at president@wods.ca for more information.

Membership Requirement

• All players must have a 2027 WODS Membership ($12, purchased separately here).
• Your membership covers all WODS leagues and events for the year.

Registration 

• Please note that teams’ spots are confirmed in order of receipt of payment, NOT by registration date.
• Participants must be at least 18 years old as of league start. Individuals under this age may contact leagues@wods.ca to discuss an exception.
• We have updated our waivers. All participants are required to review carefully and complete them prior to registration (you must use the links to sign the waivers before you can see the registration link).
