At this time, league information for 2020 is dependent on the progression of the COVID-19 pandemic. For more information please visit WODS's update page.
For 2019, WODS is excited to be returning to league nights based on skill level, so that teams can have more closely matched games*. Please read below for full information before registering your team.
Also new for 2019 is the change to Gender Ratio Rule A, in order to promote gender equity. This means that teams will need to play with 4 women and 3 men roughly half the time (4 men, 3 women the other half). WODS is highly encouraging each team to have 2 captains this year, one male and one female.
Format: Co-ed, 7v7 play using a ladder system, ratio of 4:3 as determined by Gender Ratio Rule A
For teams with mostly new players, or players with no competitive tournament experience
(Players are still learning rules and discussion is encouraged between points to explain calls)
For teams with mostly experienced league players, and perhaps a small number of either new players or competitive players
(Most players should know the rules, with some still learning)
For teams with mostly players who have competitive tournament experience, or highly skilled league players
(Players should know the rules well and make calls accordingly)
*For the enjoyment of all WODS members and teams, we will be encouraging teams to register on the night that best suits their team’s skill level
