UPDATED: 2010 WODS Annual General Meeting

The 2010 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place Saturday, November 13th at East Side Mario's (Lower Level, 450 King Street North) from 7 to 9pm.  The Board of Directors (BOD) uses the AGM as an opportunity to report directly to you, the membership.  It is also your chance to provide your feedback and suggestions directly to the BOD.

The AGM is also when the BOD for the following year is elected.  There will be eight (8) positions on the 2011 BOD, including:

• Executive Director
• Treasurer
• Fields Director
• Events Director
• Leagues Director
• Communications Director
• At-large Representative, Female
• At-large Representative, Male

This post outlines the responsibilities of the various positions.

The Tournaments Director is being renamed the Events Director.  The previous positions of Skills Development Director and Non-Ultimate Disc Sports Director will be replaced by a Skills Coordinator and Disc Golf Coordinator who will not be members of the BOD.

All WODS members are welcome to attend the meeting. If you played in any WODS league in 2010 you are a WODS member.

The election of board members is an important event of which every WODS member should be aware. WODS is a volunteer, non-profit organization. Directors are not paid. They volunteer their time and effort to support disc sports in Waterloo Region. WODS needs more people to take such an interest and be willing to act as Board members.

Individuals interested in running for a 2011 BOD position need to attend the AGM and are encouraged to contact laura@wods.ca with any questions or concerns.
