Important information about waivers and amendments to the WODS By-Laws.
To the WODS Membership,
We have reset the waiver forms in LeagueRunner for the 2010 season. Please click on the LeagueRunner link, review the waiver and respond accordingly. All WODS Members who participate in WODS leagues and events must sign a waiver each year in order to continue play.
NOTE: Proxy Vote
You will also note that the waiver has an additional section this year. Your Board of Directors has proposed some revisions to the By-Laws of the organization. The Board encourages you to review those proposed changes and to submit your proxy vote as appropriate. The waiver form contains additional details surrounding the proposed resolution and proxy options.
Both the waiver form and proxy vote are required to be completed before participating in further WODS leagues and events.
Thank you,
Your WODS Board of Directors

Signing Authority Question
Glad to see that the bylaws are being updated and that it's being done in a way that makes sure every active member is aware of what's going on!
I have a question about the directors' signing authority. Will there be a policy setting spending limits for directors? The new wording seems wide open.
Thanks!
Yaacov
Signing Authority Question
That's a good question Yaacov. The former by-laws didn't specify a spending limit, nor do the new ones. But all major actions taken by any Director require discussion and a majority vote by the Board (that was and is in the by-laws). This new signing authority simply gives individual Directors the ability to execute a contract with an outside party, whereas formerly the Executive Director had to be present to execute any contract. With our continued growth, it's simply no longer practical, nor sometimes even possible, for the E.D. to be present at every contract signing. But all contracts must still be authorized by majority vote of the Board.
Thanks Duane!
