Approximately 50 ladies expressed interest in the possibility of clinics for female ultimate players (link to original post: http://www.wods.ca/node/818). Thank you to all of those who took the time to express your interest. The PPF ladies who will be running the clinics will be taking your desires for skills to be worked on to develop the plans for the clinics. We have successfully booked field space at ComDev (http://www.wods.ca/leaguerunner/field/view/25) for the following clinics:
I – Sunday, November 8th from 11am until 12-noon. We have the full field booked. The clinic will be approximately 10 minutes for warm-up and throwing followed by 30 minutes of skills and drills, finishing with a 15 minutes scrimmage to apply the skills learnt.
II – Sunday, November 15th from 11am until 12-noon. We have the full field booked. The clinic will be approximately 10 minutes for warm-up and throwing followed by 30 minutes of skills and drills, finishing with a 15 minutes scrimmage to apply the skills learnt.
III – Sunday, December 6th from 9:30am until 12-noon. We have 1/3 field booked for 1.5 hours for warm-up, throwing, skills and drills. At 11am we will have the full field to scrimmage for a full hour and apply the skills learnt.
Remember that the clinics will be geared to all skill levels – whatever your experience or skill level, please come out to join in the fun. It promises to be a very positive atmosphere. I think that everyone will enjoy themselves.
Cost:
The ladies of PPF are generously donating their time to run these clinics and WODS has agreed to subsidize the field cost therefore, clinics I and II will cost only $2 and clinic III will cost $5. However, if you decide to come out to all three clinics, you will only be charged $7 – that’s almost like buy two get one free.
Sign-up:
In order to plan accordingly, it would help to know approximately how many people plan on attending the clinic. Please fill out the following forms if you plan to attend the clinic(s). Note that you don’t need to fill out the form to attend (i.e. if your plans change at the last minute and you can come when you weren’t planning to, come on out OR if you were going to attend and something comes up, you won’t be charged money if you don’t show up).

Clinic II (http://www.wods.ca/node/823)
Clinic III (http://www.wods.ca/node/824)
In addition to the clinics, there was sufficient interest to hold a female-only tournament – details can be found here (http://www.wods.ca/node/825).
