Congratulations to Kryptonite and the Tea Bags who are the Spirit prize winners for Summer League 2009! Players on Kryptonite and the Tea Bags will be treated to a disc golf party at Chicopee which includes:
- A disc golf clinic from a pro
- A round of disc golf (3 rental discs provided)
- Dinner
Congratulations also to all the players in the summer leagues who made Spirit of the Game a priority. This has been a great summer of spirited ultimate and that is all because of you!

How were the winners determined? Cyborg on Tuesdays have a 12.31 spirit and should be rewarded...they were a great team to play against.

Spirit Award Decision
The cut off for the spirit award decision was set to 3 weeks before the end of the season because we needed to schedule the night with Chicopee in advance and needed to make sure the winning teams were available on that night. In the last 3 weeks of league, Cyborg had several exceptionally spirited games (exceptional even for Cyborg) which moved it into a final spirit score ranking of 2nd across the 3 leagues.
I agree that Cyborg was a great team to play against and should be recognized for having such great spirit. I don't have anything that I can announce at this time but the story isn't finished yet.
