Soggy Bottom Bowl V: There Will Be Mud

Sorry for the super late notice but the Soggy Bottom Bowl will be happening May 30-31 in scenic Guelph for a measly $275. This is a co-ed tourney with all of the usual fixings (field food, lots of games, crazy party...). If you are interested and want more information contact Mike at soggyATguelphultimate.ca.

The weather can't be as bad as it was last year.

Kiwanis Park Reminders:

Drive slowly (< 40 km/h) in the Kiwanis community
Park in the grass lot past the gate (avoid using the gravel lot outside gate)
Park close together to maximize parking
Pick-up all garbage (whether it's yours or not)
Cursing is unacceptable!

Lightning

An easy-to-remember rule to follow if you see lightning - it's called the 30-30 rule.

If you can count thirty stalls after you see lightning, then the lightning is far enough away that you can continue to play your game. If the lightning is 'closer' than thirty stall counts, you should immediately discontinue play and seek appropriate cover quickly.
The second 30 refers to 30 minutes. You should wait for half an hour until after the last lightning is observed before resuming your game.
