We are in the middle of day two and things are looking good for top 8. We have beaten Monster (8) by 8 this morning, and we beat Bronco (4) yesterday by 3. Bronco just beat TFP - yes that's right, TFP, so things are getting interesting, but we have an (apparently) easy game coming against Swarm. Our other games were losses to ONYX by 6 yesterday, TFP by 8 this morning, and we beat BFC in a nail biter 14-11 yesterday.
PPF went 2-1 yesterday and I'm not sure how they have done today.

Awesome
!!!
Update?
Thanks to an embarrassingly empty scoreboard, I can only surmise what has happened, but based on what they do have on the Nats website, and what Lenny posted, it would appear that Liquid is 2-2 today (they went into the day in the upper half of their pool, so start out at 1-0) with a +11. I think that will give them tiebreaker over Monster, especially since they also beat Monster. It would appear that Liquid has secured a berth in the quarterfinals at Nationals for the first time.
Congrats everyone, and keep it rolling!
5th!
5th!!!!
We ended up facing RIP in the quarters, and it was an awesome game but we lost on universe point. It was really painful, but we came through to beat hammers and monster again for 5th. PPF finished 6th! Crazy tournament....
Finishing thoughts
Yes it was quite the heartbreaker loss to RIP that left us mentally drained. But we played our hearts out in that game and almost completing the comeback after being down 13-11 in a game to 14.
But we're very pleased with our 5th place finish. Top Ontario team and we didn't lose a game to anyone outside of the top 4. Final record was 6-3.
TFP won against Onyx in the finals (they were up 8-1 at half, not sure of the final score). Psychoplastique from Edmonton? beat RIP for 3rd. Us over Monster for 5th. Big Hammers over Mayhem for 7th.
Good results for Ontario IMO. 4 teams in the top 8, unfortunately we all lost in the quarters.
Bouncy castle
It was a definite learning experience. The game against RIP was probably the best game we played all tourney, but we can definitely learn from it and fix things for next year. This should be a confidence builder for us, competing with some really good teams and getting over some mental humps. Finishing top in Ontario was awesome, now we need to do it for all of Canada.
Also, never go into a bouncy castle with Higy, he cheats.
party foul
What happens in the bouncy castle stays in the bouncy castle.
