The 'plan of attack' for the remainder of the summer league season is outlined below.
Tier 1
Last round robin game is July 22. Therefore, there are five weeks unscheduled. Going to have a third round robin (RR) which will take us to the final week. Standings will be determined based on round robin results. Ties will be decided by head to head games (1 - record, 2 - points for/against).
Tier 2
Last round robin game is July 16. Therefore, there are six weeks unscheduled. Going to have a two week modified RR in which teams will not meet anyone more than 3 spots away in the standings. Going to end the season with a four week playoff.
Tier 3
Last round robin game is July 3. Therefore, there are eight weeks unscheduled. Going to have a five week modified RR in which teams will not meet anyone more than 4 spots away in the standings. Going to end the season with a three week playoff.
Good plan
I like the round robin idea for Tier 1, it's always weird trying to have playoffs between 6 teams.
