Regarding Informed Decision for Nalgene Bottles,
Just wanted to let everyone know that Health Canada has now deemed bisphenol A (which is what makes most types of nalgene bottles hard and clear) a dangerous chemical. As I understand it, Nalgene is going to stop producing this type of plastic bottle and Adventure Guide, MEC, Zellers, Wallmart, etc., have already stopped selling them. If you want to stop using yours, apparently you cannot recycle them in Waterloo Region but Adventure Guide will accept them from you to recycle. Some people may still want to use theirs but hopefully people will at least know about potential risks. Light weight stainless steel containers might be a good alternative.
Thanks,
Roy

The main risk is for
The main risk is for infants, so all you strong bodied ultimate players will never be affected by it. Or have a "break-off", take turns dropping a full bottle with frozen water in it off apartment buildings, last one to break wins!
To add to the comment above,
To add to the comment above, Bisphenol-A causes development problems in the reproductive organs of infants which can cause reduced egg and sperm production later on in life. Much of this has been known (in fish at least) since 2001 so now may be a good time to switch to "safer" bottles.

Plastic still a good choice
Plastics 5 and 7 (generally) will/may contain the afformentioned chemicals.
However if your bottle is plastic 2 (maybe 4 as well....) then you should be okay.
I'm talking about the number in the recycle symbol usually found at the bottom of the bottle.
Klean Kanteen
A colleague at work has one of the 1.2L Klean Kanteens. It's really sexy. I want one.

Higy, I don't think you're in any position to be giving people advice on what type of bottle
to drink from.
Didn't I see you drinking from a sewer water sample collection bottle last weekend?
