I'm beginning a training program to develop explosive power, acceleration, and vertical jump. The program consists of strength training three times a week, and moving to plyometrics (explosive power), and complex training (strength and plyos in one workout).
I'm planning on starting the week of May 29, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays with strength training. We will follow training programs based on leading coaches in the area of explosive power, namely Brent McFarlane and Donald Chu.
The program will be periodized with maximum results attained at tryouts for next year's Liquid and Quicksand. This will be a great program for anyone wishing to develop their athletic ability in order to sky everyone on Liquid, and layout D more people than Higy (unless Higy joins the program as well, of course, in which case no guarantees can or will be made).

Training times and locations
We'll be starting the program officially next week (~June 12). So far we have three people (including myself)! We'll be training at Goodlife Fitness on Columbia, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. We're still working out exact times (probably T,Th after work, Saturday mornings, but currently flexible, and of course more flexible if we get more people). We had an introductory session on Saturday morning, and all I can say is this program is definitely going to give results... we are doing squats, power cleans, and a lot of ab work, among other stuff. I'm still feeling quite sore (maybe also because I played Ulty for 3 hours this afternoon... :) )
