The weather's looking fine for this weekend, so it's a great time for us to play our first pick-up game. Let's meet Sunday (April 22) at 2 pm at the cricket pitch in Waterloo Park.
The focus of pick-up is really just to get out and have fun, so I'd like to encourage everyone to come out, from Liquid veterans to those just starting to play the game of Ultimate. It's a great opportunity to improve your skills and meet people in the Ultimate community.

How to find out about pick-up
Hey Andy,
Is there a mailing list that people can get on to find out when and where pick-up will happen? Or is it every week at 2pm on Sunday?

We are currently rewriting the email functionality application for the site. With the prevalence of 'spam filters', there is not always a guarantee that messages sent en mass make it to the anticipated recipients.
I would suggest that the forums will be the most appropriate place to check. People can then look on Sunday morning to see if there has been any change... personally, I hate mass email ;-)

I don't like mass email unless I requested it. So in this case, I'd like the mass email. :-)

I agree that en mass emails would be beneficial, however for now we'll keep it as a weekly thing - every Sunday at 2pm. It may be a good idea to find a more permanent home than Waterloo Park, since for some reason people like to play cricket when it's nice out, and the baseball fields might not always be free.
Reminder - Sunday 2pm
Just a reminder to meet again this Sunday at Waterloo Park for pickup. We'll try again to use the cricket pitch, but if we're not there (and cricket is being played) check the baseball fields just over the hill (other side of the tennis courts) or the soccer field by the parking lot. We had a good turnout last week, so let's keep it up. The weather's looking good again so it should be a great afternoon. As always, everyone's welcome.

I think if its nice Sat I will be looking to play, if not then Ill wait and see what its like on Sun, any nice weather should be taken advantage of at this point though!
