The folks over at perpetualmotion.org are planning for a tournament to be held at Shades Mills Conservation Area in Cambridge on Saturday May 12. The tournament follows a best disc format with coed teams of four (2m, 2f) competing.

Ack!! Same weekend as TUF !!
Bummer. That's the same weekend as TUF. Otherwise I would totally be there. I've only played one full game in my life, but I think I'm ready for the pro circuit ;P But hopefully some of our non-touring WODS members will want to play in the golf tourney.

Here's your chance to try disc golf in a fun, best ball (disc) team tournament.
Disc Golf is the flying disc variation of the game of golf. Instead of using a golf club, players use a disc (frisbee). As in golf, there are many different discs that a player can use for long drives, approach shots and putting. The object of the game is to throw your disc into a metal basket on a pole. There are chains hanging down from the pole to guide the disc into the basket to end the hole.
On Saturday May 12th at Shade Mills Conservation Area there will be a tournament to give everyone a chance to try out a fun addictive sport. The tournament will run from 12am to 5pm, with each team playing 18 holes. Teams of 4 players (2 male, 2 females) will compete in a best ball (disc) format.
So get your crew together for a fun one day tournament. Prizes will be awarded for the top team, closest to the pin hole and longest drive. No experienced is required!
Space is limited, so don't wait to be disappointed. Cost is $60/team (includes GST & Admission into the Park) and golf disc will available to use for those who would like to try them, but you can always use your ultimate disc. Check the website out for more details and registration forms.
