Touring Teams

PPF is a national level Womens ultimate team that is known for their spirit and work ethic.

Maverick is a national level Open ultimate team that recruits players from this region and practices close by.  They offer excellent play and are a force to be reckoned with both on the field and at the party.

The UW Ultimate club organizes teams for the Women's and Open CUPA and UPA college series tournaments and organizes ultimate related events for University of Waterloo students. 

The Laurier Ultimate Club started in 2010.  It provides opportunities to Laurier students who would like to play for their school at the CUPA ultimate tournaments as well as organizing practices and league teams throughout the year.

Past Years

Liquid was the top mixed touring team out of the region until it disbanded in 2009.

Crisis was the development team for Liquid which focused on building

The Company is a team of wily veterans with some strong young talent as well.

Quicksand was the development touring team in the region from 2004-2007. The principal focus was spirited play and improvement of individual and team skills.

Warm-up

The first phase of warm-up is about getting your muscles ready for exertion without injury. Here's a standard warm-up for accomplishing that.

Jog twice around the playing field, approximately 640 yards.

Side shuffles, 40 yards, both directions
Crossovers, 40 yards, both directions
High knees, 20 yards, increasing speed
Butt kicks, 20 yards, increasing speed
Backwards jogging, 40 yards, skipping insted of jogging prevents tripping
Lunges, 40 yards, don't let the front knee go ahead of the ankle
Leaps, 40 yards, alternating take-off foot
